1. Who we are
Eastern Essence Co. ("we", "us", "our") is a perfume retailer trading online at this website and from our premises at 16 Carlton Terrace, London, E7 8LH, United Kingdom. These terms govern every purchase made through this website or in person at our store. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Orders and acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm the order by email or dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order for any reason, including stock unavailability, pricing or description errors, or suspected fraud. Where payment has already been taken for a cancelled order, we will issue a full refund within 14 days.
4. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of order. We do not store your card details. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is dispatched; if this happens we will contact you before proceeding.
5. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer ordering online you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us before the deadline. You must return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, unused and in their original packaging, at your own cost unless the item is faulty. 6. Collection in store
If you choose to collect your order from 16 Carlton Terrace, London E7 8LH, you will receive a six-digit collection code after payment. You must present this code, or other reasonable proof of identity and order ownership, to collect your order. We are not liable for orders collected by a third party who was given the code by you or on your behalf.
7. Product descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to describe our fragrances accurately, including scent notes, size, and pricing. Fragrance perception is subjective and natural ingredients may vary slightly in colour or scent between batches. This does not constitute a fault.
8. Faulty or damaged goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a legal right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If an item arrives faulty or damaged, contact us within a reasonable time for a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you.
9. Loyalty points
Signed-in customers earn loyalty points on paid orders, at a rate of 1 point per £1 actually paid (after any discount). Points can be redeemed at checkout for a discount on a future order, at a rate of 100 points = £1 off, up to the value of that order's subtotal. Points cannot be combined with a coupon code on the same order, and have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. If an order is cancelled or refunded, any points earned on it are removed and any points redeemed on it are returned to your balance. We may amend the earn or redemption rate, or end the loyalty points programme, at any time; points already in your balance at the time of a rate change keep their redemption value as it stood when they were earned.
10. Reviews
Only customers who have completed a purchase of a specific product may leave a review for it. Reviews must be genuine, based on personal experience, and must not contain abusive, defamatory, or misleading content. We reserve the right to remove any review that breaches these terms.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, images, logos, and branding, is the property of Eastern Essence Co. or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without our prior written permission.
12. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our products or website. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
